Accepted and Prospective Students Q&As

Keystone College is exercising its right to appeal the recent Adverse Action by its accreditor, Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), to withdraw accreditation. While the final decision on that appeal is not expected until March or April 2025, Keystone College will remain accredited through the appeal process. Keystone College is not permitted to market to, recruit, or enroll new students during the appeal process. And, while Keystone is in the appeal process, MSCHE has notified Keystone that it must implement and make available the College’s Teach-Out Plan to interested students. Please bookmark this page http://s7iw.legalisbg.com/teach-out for information about Teach-Out plans.

While Keystone College is in the MSCHE appeal process, the College is not able to market to, recruit, or enroll new students. If you submitted your enrollment deposit prior to the date (November 21, 2024) on which the MSCHE Adverse Action was taken against Keystone College, you will be permitted to enroll for the Spring 2025 or Fall 2025 semester should you wish to do so.

What do I do if I have already been accepted to Keystone College and have paid my deposit for Spring 2025 or Fall 2025?

If you did not submit your enrollment deposit prior to November 21, 2024 (see above statement), Keystone will not be able to take any action on your application or discuss admission or enrollment opportunities until only after a successful appeal process is completed. As soon as that happens, we will be in touch to reactivate your application and discuss the available options.

If you did submit your deposit by that date (November 21, 2024 (see above statement)), we hope that you will plan to attend Keystone College. We will be in touch with you and we will share the dates for New Student Orientation with you shortly.

Finally, if you did submit your deposit by that date (November 21, 2024 (see above statement)) and are no longer interested in attending Keystone College, you would have all of the benefits provided under our Teach-Out plans. Please contact us at questions@legalisbg.com if you are interested in learning more.

What happens if I recently applied to Keystone College but have not heard whether I have been accepted?

While Keystone College is in the MSCHE appeal process, the College is not able to market to, recruit, or enroll new students.

Can Keystone College send my application materials to another higher education institution on my behalf?

If a student who has submitted their enrollment deposit to Keystone College is eligible to be included as part of Keystone’s Teach-out Plan, we will provide the institution with a copy of the student’s submitted transcripts and records.

If a student is not eligible to be included as part of Keystone College’s Teach-out Plan, then the student will need to apply to another college or university and send their own application materials (e.g., test scores, letters of recommendation, essays, etc.) directly to the institutions to which they want to apply in accordance with each institution’s application requirements.

How will these changes impact my veteran (VA) benefits, such as the Post-9/11 GI Bill?

If you receive VA benefits at Presentation College, your benefits at another institution are likely to continue, but you should review your benefits with the VA representative at your future institution.
